So. Motherboard on my laptop died, as far as I can tell. Either that or it ran out of black magic to run on, it was such a freak computer. Therefore, in an attempt at some kind of entertainment, I preordered that Xbox 360 pack (the one with CoD5: Modern Warfare 2) as well as a few games (Borderlands, for example). Now, am I a butthole for preordering a console thats already been around for several years? I grew up a Nintendo fanboy, more or less, but with all the kid games Miyamoto is shitting daily, I've sadly lost interest in the Wii. At the same time this happened, I got an opportunity to borrow my friend's 360 and his games, and it blew me away. I really enjoyed it, and decided I wanted a 360 myself. However, talking to my boss about this, he brought up a good point: it's a matter of time until the 360 is replaced by it's sequel, and the longer the 360 is around, the sooner that is. So what's the point of buying one NOW? Why not save my money and buy the next Microsoft console (or a new computer)? I'm torn, but I'm still planning on getting the 360. I'm just worried about the lack of internet. I've been pretty stir crazy without it, although that might just be withdrawal.

PS-The reason I'm not simply fixing my laptop is a) it's a laptop, how much is it worth fixing it anyway, and b) it's ~2 years old anyway. Might as well upgrade if I have to.
